ACTION ALERT

Dear Fellow Space Advocate,

The White House has officially submitted next year's NASA budget and the news is not good. NASA is cut by hundreds of millions of dollars, as is nearly every scientific division, including—for the third year in a row—Planetary Science.

Congress starts meeting this week to decide NASA's fate.

We need to reach out to them right now. All of us. They need to know that the public continues to support planetary science, space exploration, and NASA.

Click here to fill out a petition to your representatives
in Congress...It only takes a minute.

If you want to see a mission to Europa, have samples of Mars returned to Earth, or search for past or present life by sending a fleet of affordable spacecraft throughout the solar system, you need to write.

We make it easy for you. Use this link, fill in your address and we'll send along your message to the right people in Congress. You can modify the message as you like, and we'll even email you a phone number to call your representatives afterwards if you want to go the extra mile.

Thanks to you and other Society members last year, we sent over 60,000 messages in support of planetary exploration to Congress. It worked: they restored nearly $130 million to the program, NASA took tentative steps towards starting a mission to Europa, and the next Mars rover is on track for a 2020 launch. We are making a difference.

Let's stand for space. For Europa. For Mars. For all the frontiers that await us in our solar system.

Thank you for your help.
